The white house is Nygårdsgården's oldest property and dates back to 1865. For many years it was the official post office in Bingsjö, which is part of Rättviks Municipality in Dalarna County.
Nygårdsgården was purchased in 2018 by Anders Junkas, who went on to renovate several of the buildings located within the property. The homestead is considered to have a particularly high cultural and historical value with many historical features that are not easy to find today in Sweden.
Anders runs the homestead together with his 3 children Anna, Åsa, and Erik, and the Nygårdsgården homestead is available for conferences, courses and events. From the summer of 2025 there will be accommodation available in the red house.
In cooperation with the Bingsjöstämman music festival, Folkmusikens Hus in Rättvik arranges courses and musical events here the first week of July each year. Planning for the coming year is in full swing, including concerts and events in the barn during the summer.
The association's goal is for Nygårdsgården in Bingsjö to become
"A musical and peaceful venue for both young and old".
